Winter in Applethwaite

There is rarely snow at ground level in Keswick or Applethwaite for any significant time in winter. However there can be snow on the felltops from early November through to sometimes as late as May. A crisp spell of February weather gave an opportunity for these photos. Just hover over an image and text describing the view will appear.
